The talks between Russian and Burkina Faso Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Alpha Barry in Sochi on March 20 have been postponed, TASS reports with reference to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
"We inform about the postponement of [talks] with the Foreign Minister of Burkina Faso, Alpha Barry", she said, in particular.
As previously reported, the main topics of the talks between the heads of diplomatic agencies supposed to be the prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian fields, as well as current international and African issues.
Burkina Faso is a state in West Africa, a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
60.5% of the country's population are Muslims, while Christians are 23.2%, 15.3% are followers of aboriginal cults.
