Meeting of the Council on Islamic education is taking place in Moscow today. According to the press service of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy (BIA), the meeting is attended by the rector of BIA Daniyar Abdrakhmanov, representatives of the Administrative Directorate, the Russian Academy of Sciences and heads of Islamic universities and madrasas.
The central issues of discussion are the development and improvement of the quality of Islamic education in Russia, as well as the development of the standard of secondary professional and higher (bachelor's, master's) religious education with updated modules of disciplines on patriotic education and the formation of civic identity among students of Islamic educational institutions.
In addition, it is planned to discuss the possibility of monitoring and analysis of the main educational literature used in Muslim educational institutions of Russia, as well as the targeted enrollment and mechanisms of public accreditation of Islamic educational institutions.
