The next meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Russia and Saudi Arabia will be held in mid-October in Russia. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak on the air of the Russia-24.

"We agreed to hold another meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Russia and Saudi Arabia in October in Russia,  the middle of the month," he said.

Novak also added that during the meeting with Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud in Riyadh on July 29, the sides discussed a number of issues, including energy projects, housing and utilities, transportation, renewable energy development, oil and gas chemistry and technology. "Saudi Arabia has the relevant competences, so does the Russian Federation," the deputy prime minister noted.

In addition, Novak stressed that Russia and Saudi Arabia are also actively cooperating in social spheres, such as healthcare and education. "Russian students are studying in Saudi Arabia, and vice versa, students from Saudi Arabia are studying in Russia. There is an exchange of educational programs and experience. So this is a very important direction within the framework of the development of relations between our countries both at the political level and in the economic sphere," he explained.
