First Deputy Chairman of the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation Rushan Abbyasov met with Apostolic Nuncio to Russia, Archbishop Celestino Migliore.
According to the press service of the RMC, the parties discussed the development of interreligious dialogue, as well as the strengthening and intensification of cooperation.
Abbyasov emphasized that the dialogue of religions and cultures is the most effective way to fight against islamophobia and christianophobia.
In his turn, Migliore noted that the unique Russian experience of good-neighborliness of representatives of traditional religions is a good example for other countries, and also expressed the Vatican's desire to participate in the development of dialogue and contacts with Russian Muslims.
