MFA: Russia is taking all measures to evacuate its citizens from abroad

Moscow intends to do everything necessary to evacuate Russians from abroad in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told reporters.


"Of course, this is on our radar, this problem is now. We will take all necessary measures to ensure the evacuation", he said, in particular.


Now diplomats, according to Grushko, are establishing the exact number of Russians in each of the countries affected by the coronavirus.


"Based on the humanitarian nature of this problem, we expect that all states that will be contacted will do everything necessary to alleviate the fate of all people, including Russian citizens, and in this case provide all the necessary conditions for us to take them home", he added.


More than 164 thousand people in more than 150 countries have been infected with the coronavirus in the world, and more than 6.4 thousand  died.
