Four militants, including citizens of Europe and North Africa, were killed in the explosion of a warehouse with ammunition and chlorine, which was being prepared for provocation in Syria, Rear Admiral Alexander Grinkevich, the Deputy Head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria told reporters.
According to the Center, "on October 11, a warehouse with ammunition and chlorine-containing substances prepared by terrorists for chemical provocations exploded near Maarrat al-Ikhwan settlement (13 km north of Idlib city)".
"At the site of the explosion, four militants, including citizens of Europe and North Africa, were killed by suffocation," Grinkevich said.
He called on the commanders of illegal armed groups to give up armed provocations and embark on a peaceful resolution of the situation in areas under their control.
