Starting June 13, Azimut Airlines will launch a weekly direct flight from Mineralnye Vody to Ganja, one of Azerbaijan's largest cities, according to Stavropol Governor Vladimir Vladimirov. Announcing the news on his Telegram channel, Vladimirov highlighted the significance of expanding air connections for the region.
"We are expanding the geography of Stavropol's air connections. We launch a new direction from Mineralnye Vody airport. Since June 13, a weekly direct flight of Azimut Airlines to Ganja, one of the largest cities in Azerbaijan, will start," said Vladimirov.
This new route is expected to enhance convenience for travelers and entrepreneurs from Stavropol, potentially boosting tourism and business interactions between the regions. Vladimirov also emphasized that the need for expanded air communication is high, as evidenced by the doubling of destinations from 36 to 70 over the past decade. Last year, over 5 million passengers utilized the region's airports, showcasing the untapped potential for further growth.
To support this expansion, the local authorities are increasing the capacity of airports in Stavropol and Mineralnye Vody and are actively collaborating with air carriers.
