Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov has met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, Mehdi Sanaei.
According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Diplomats have exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda.
Special attention was paid to the situation around the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program.
It is known that in early May, on the anniversary of the US withdrawal from the Iranian nuclear deal, Tehran has announced that it had stopped fulfilling several points of the deal, which led to a further deepening of the crisis in relations between Tehran and Washington.
