Russia is concerned about another surge in armed confrontation between Israel and the Gaza Strip. According to the message of the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

 

 


It is alleged that over the past few days, more than 20 Palestinians and 4 Israelis died as a result of an exchange of massive blows, dozens of people were injured of varying degrees of severity.

 

 


Due to the efforts of the UN and Egypt, an agreement was reached on a temporary truce, which has come into force today.

 

 


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia has underlined that the tragic events of recent days once again confirm the necessity for an early resumption of the negotiation process based on a two-state formula in accordance with the well-known resolutions of the Security Council and the UNGA, as well as the Arab Peace Initiative.

 

 


“Otherwise, the situation there will continue to degrade, thereby creating new threats to the security of Israel, Palestine and the entire region,” it is noted in the message of the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
