Minnikhanov: Tatarstan is focused on cooperation with Turkey to strengthen Russian-Turkish relations

Tatarstan is interested in attracting Turkish business and capital to the republic and is ready to provide full support in this. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who heads the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World", announced this at a business forum with the participation of business circles of Tatarstan and Turkey, which was held at the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

 


According to the Head of the Republic, Tatarstan pays special attention to expanding cooperation with Turkey, aimed at strengthening Russian-Turkish relations.

 

 

Minnikhanov reminded that Representatives of the top Leadership of Turkey, including Ministers, Governors, Heads of Provinces, etc., repeatedly visited Tatarstan.

 

 


In addition, a cooperation agreement is in effect between the two republics. The Consulate General of Turkey is successfully operating in Kazan, and a representative office of Tatarstan in Istanbul.

 

 


“We have enough opportunities to expand business ties. This made sure Turkish companies operating in Tatarstan. We need to make more active use of the existing economic potential for building mutually beneficial cooperation”, the press service quotes Minnikhanov.

 

 


The Governor of Bursa, Yakup Canbolat, mentioned that the province at its level is ready to contribute to strengthening the economic relations of Turkey and Tatarstan.

 

 

Aydar Gashigullin, the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Turkey, added that “the path to the heart of other territories of Russia can pass through the Republic of Tatarstan”.

 

 


Among the most promising areas of cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey are mutual participation in the activities of organized industrial zones, holding exhibitions, supporting exports and cooperation in creating a comfortable living environment.
