Mirziyoyev and Erdogan Discuss Strengthening of Strategic Partnership in Budapest

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as part of his official visit to Budapest. The leaders engaged in discussions concerning the reinforcement of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey. Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov conveyed this information.

 

"Today, in the city of Budapest, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The discussions encompassed matters related to enhancing the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey. The focal points included the augmentation of trade volume, the amplification of collaborative economic initiatives, and various other pertinent subjects," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

 

The leaders of both nations additionally reviewed the timetable and advancements in the preparations for this year's upcoming summits of the Organization of Turkic States and the Economic Cooperation Organization.

 

It's also worth noting that Mirziyoyev engaged in meetings with notable figures during the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, including Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Presidents of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Serbia's Aleksandar Vucic, and Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. These discussions took place on the sidelines of the championship event.
