Russian prime minister Mikhail Mishustin has congratulated Akylbek Zhaparov on his appointment as chairman of the cabinet of ministers of Kyrgyzstan. The telegram was published Wednesday on the government website.
"Dear Akylbek Usenbekovich, on behalf of the government of the Russian Federation and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on your appointment as chairman of the cabinet of ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic," Mishustin said in the telegram.
Russian prime minister noted that Russia and Kyrgyzstan are linked by friendly, partnership relations. "Trade, economic and investment cooperation is developing, major joint projects in energy, industry, science and culture are being implemented. Integration cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian economic union and the Commonwealth of Independent States is expanding," Mishustin added. He also expressed the belief that active joint work along the governmental line will contribute to further promotion of new mutually beneficial initiatives. The head of the Russian cabinet wished Zhaparov health and success in this responsible activity.
On Wednesday, Kyrgyz president Sadyr Zhaparov signed a decree appointing his namesake, Akylbek Zhaparov, as head of the cabinet and head of the presidential administration.
