18 June 2020

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin congratulated Kubatbek Boronov on his appointment as Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

"On behalf of the government of the Russian Federation and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on your appointment as Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic," the message reads.

He noted that Russia and Kyrgyzstan have friendly and allied relations. The countries are successfully developing trade and economic, investment, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Promising projects in energy, industry and high technologies are also being implemented.

I am convinced that further strengthening of bilateral ties will be facilitated by the holding of the Cross Years of Russia in Kyrgyzstan and Kyrgyzstan in Russia in 2020.

He stressed the importance of further increasing cooperation on the government line, as well as expanding integration cooperation within the framework of the EEU and the CIS.

Mishustin wished the new Prime Minister good health, well-being and success in his professional activities.
