The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) can jointly resist international challenges by developing their own production and technology. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin told reporters, summing up the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

"We together with our partners understand very well that in the current international situation only together we can successfully cope with any challenges," said the chairman of the Russian government. "Our response to such challenges should be activities in all areas - launching modern production in strategically important industries, sharing advanced technologies, innovations, creating new value chains," said the head of the cabinet of ministers.

He mentioned the exhibition "Eurasia is our home", taking place in Sochi, which presents cooperation projects of the "five" countries. According to Mishustin, such coordinated cooperation is necessary to achieve technological, economic and financial sovereignty of the EEU countries. "Combining our competences, resources, we are able to produce high quality products, which are not inferior to their foreign counterparts," the prime minister is sure. He assured that the authorities will support cooperation projects, for this purpose a mechanism of financial support will be launched, starting next year. Mishustin said that now the necessary legal framework is being created.

Separately, the prime minister highlighted the development of international transport. "It is very important for the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation both within the union and with foreign colleagues, and, very importantly, with the People's Republic of China," said the chairman of the Russian government. According to him, "the main task is to form a single, seamless system of goods transit to simplify business, accelerate goods transit and improve their traceability."

The head of the Russian cabinet of ministers expects that the decisions made will contribute to the strengthening of cooperation in the union.
