Mohammad Javad Zarif has brought Putin a message on a nuclear deal

08 May 2019

Russian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who today held negotiations in Moscow with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, claimed that he brought a message from the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to Vladimir Putin on a nuclear deal and intends to transfer it to the Head of the Russian state personally.

It is worth noting that it was precisely the preservation of the Iranian nuclear deal that became one of the central issues in the talks between the Heads of Diplomacy of Russia and Iran.

Earlier, the Iranian authorities announced the termination of the two paragraphs of the document until the sanctions restored by the United States after Washington’s withdrawal from the agreement were lifted.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described the talks with his Iranian counterpart meaningful and reminded that Moscow and Tehran are in constant political contact.

“Now the preparation of the next trilateral meeting in the format of the Russian Federation-Iran-Azerbaijan, which should take place in the Russian Federation this time, is on the agenda”, Lavrov announced, after talks with the Iranian Foreign Minister.
