More than 760 people were evacuated from Egypt to Moscow

Belavia's evacuation flights took more than 760 people from the Egyptian resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada, including citizens of Belarus, Ukraine and other countries, the head of the Consular Department of the Russian Embassy in Cairo Yusup Abakarov told RIA Novosti.


"Today we sent two flights from Sharm El-Sheikh, a total of 372 people. Among them were citizens of Belarus, as well as a Ukrainian and a citizen of Uzbekistan," the diplomat said, in particular.


Two flights also took off from Hurghada with more than 390 passengers on board.


Today, March 27, two more flights are expected to depart. "Citizens of Belarus and Kazakhstan will be sent (along with Russian citizens – ed.). So far, we are filling the plane", he said.


456 cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in Egypt, 21 people died.
