Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov discussed issues of bilateral and regional cooperation, including the situation in Afghanistan, with Pakistan's appointed Ambassador to Russia Shafqat Ali Khan, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
"Topical issues of Russian-Pakistani relations were discussed. The parties confirmed their mutual intention to further develop multifaceted bilateral cooperation and continue interaction on topical issues on the regional and international agenda, including the situation in Afghanistan," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
It is also reported that during the meeting, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic handed Morgulov copies of his credentials.
