Moscow Cathedral Mosque is to mark the 115th anniversary

A working meeting with the first Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation (SAMRF) Damir hazrat Gizatullin took place at the Moscow cathedral mosque.

 

 


According to the press service of  Russia Muftis Council (RMC), the meeting was devoted to preparations for the anniversary events of SAMRF and RMC, including the VII Congress of the delegates of SAMRF, the 25th anniversary of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, the 20th anniversary of the Moscow Islamic Institute and special events on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of the Moscow cathedral mosque.

 

 


The Moscow cathedral mosque is one of the largest Muslim temples in Europe.

 

 


The first building of the mosque was built in 1904, in 2011 it was demolished for the construction of a new one, which was opened on September 23, 2015.
