"Regular disinfection will be carried out in mosques and prayer halls between prayers. Employees will wash the carpets, disinfect the door handles and all the things that people touch. The rooms will also be additionally ventilated", RIA Novosti quotes the religious figure as saying.
In addition, believers were encouraged to stay at home if they feel unwell or have signs of colds.
From March 10 Moscow bans holding mass events with a number of participants over 5 thousand people. The ban will remain in effect until April 10.
