Moscow Muslims urged not to pray on the street

20 March 2020

During the closure of mosques due to the coronavirus pandemic, Muslims should pray at home, not on the street, so as not to disturb other citizens. This, according to RIA Novosti, was stated by the mufti of Moscow Ildar Alyautdinov.

"In no case, the prayer should be performed in the street. We issued a statement that people pray Juma-namaz at their homes, in the direction of the Moscow Cathedral mosque," he said, in particular.

From March 18, all Moscow mosques and prayer halls have been closed to the public.

Friday namaz is broadcast on the Internet in this regard.
