Ravil Gainutdin, the head of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, denounced the Israeli Air Force's strike on April 1 targeting the Iranian consulate in Syria as a breach of international rules and norms during an event commemorating Al-Quds (Jerusalem) Day at Moscow's Cathedral Mosque, attended by ambassadors of Muslim nations.
"We witnessed Israel's recent assault on the Iranian consulate in a foreign country, the sovereign state of Syria, resulting in casualties among citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran within the diplomatic premises. This act constitutes a violation of universally recognized international rules and norms. Regrettably, such aggressive actions persist," stated the mufti.
