It is necessary to support graduates of Islamic Universities, organize courses on countering extremism and terrorism for representatives of the "migrant community" and national organizations in the regions, as well as teach migrants in their countries the Russian language, mufti Albir Krganov, head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia (SAMR), said on Wednesday during an online conference in the Civil chamber of the Russian Federation.
The video conference on the role of regional civil chambers, religious and public organizations in implementing the provisions of the "Strategy for countering extremism in the Russian Federation until 2025" was held on Wednesday "on the platform of the Civil chamber of the Russian Federation", the SAMR notes.
"The Strategy highlights the need to increase the prestige of education in religious educational institutions. We need support for graduates of Islamic Universities, including social packages," Krganov said.
According to him, it is necessary to "strengthen the work in the system of domestic Islamic education", to offer courses on countering extremism and terrorism in educational institutions. He also noted that the Ministry of education sent a template for an anti-extremist course to educational institutions.
"We consider it important to step up cooperation on preventing extremism with national autonomies and diasporas, including representatives of national organizations of the regions and the migrant community. Training seminars should be held regularly for managers and employees of such NGOs," the head of the SAMR stressed.
Speaking about migration policy, he also suggested that the Russian language, legislation and "culture of our country" should be taught "in the countries of arrivals".
