In the near future, a Muslim symbol – a Crescent - will be installed at the entrance to the capital of the Republic of Crimea. The proposal was made by the residents of Kamenka and Koshkeldy. The initiative was discussed at the meeting of the Interfaith Council of Crimea "Peace is the gift of God". The head of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Crimea Emirali Ablaev took part in this event.
In a statement of the press service of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Crimea is noted that the decision to support the proposal to install the Muslim Crescent was unanimously adopted. Members of the Council stressed that religious symbols contribute to the establishment of mutual understanding, friendship and harmony between representatives of different peoples living on the peninsula.
The project will be funded by benefactors. The sign will be installed on the territory inhabited mainly by Crimean Tatars.
