During a meeting in Cairo, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi underscored their countries' readiness to enhance cooperation in the realm of national security, as reported by the SVR press bureau.
The press bureau highlighted that discussions encompassed topics such as stabilizing the situation in the Middle East, addressing the crisis in the Gaza Strip, combating international terrorism, assessing developments in Ukraine and across the African continent, and deliberating on the Afghan issue.
"The meeting demonstrated shared perspectives on the issues at hand. Both sides emphasized their commitment to further deepen cooperation in the field of national security between Russia and Egypt," the statement concluded.
