Nebenzya: NATO Will Enter Direct Conflict with Russia if Ukrainian Forces Use NATO Weapons

13 September

Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, warned that NATO would effectively enter into a direct war with Russia if it allows Ukraine to use its long-range weapons to strike deep into Russian territory. He made this statement during a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine.

"If the decision to lift the restrictions is made or will be made, it will signify that from this moment, NATO countries will be engaging in a direct war with Russia," Nebenzya stated. "In that case, we will be forced to take appropriate measures with all the resulting consequences for the Western aggressors. Our Western colleagues will no longer be able to evade responsibility and place the blame solely on Kiev," he emphasized.
