New Turkmen president intends to take relations with the US to a new level

Turkmen President Serdar Berdymukhamedov intends to expand cooperation with the United States and take it to a new level, according to a congratulatory message from Berdymukhamedov to US President Joe Biden on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported on Sunday.


"In the future, we intend to progressively expand and strengthen our positive interaction, and in this context we count on joint efforts to bring relations to a higher constructive level," the message said.


Berdymukhamedov noted that Turkmenistan and the United States "cooperate in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres and in many other key areas". He also stressed that "today Turkmenistan and the US maintains fruitful business contacts in the sphere of civil aviation, agriculture, electric power and banking" and expressed readiness "to work together to bring bilateral relations to a new level by using the existing opportunities".


In his message, the head of Turkmenistan wished the American leader "good health, happiness and well-being, and progress and prosperity to the people of the United States".
