NСFU to start teaching Arabic, Turkish and Chinese for the first time in 2022

Arabic, Turkish and Chinese will be taught for the first time at the largest university in the North Caucasus in 2022. The School of World Languages will make it possible to study, Rector of North Caucasus Federal University Dmitry Bespalov told TASS.


"The work of the School of World Languages will begin at the North Caucasus Federal University in February 2022. The first trainees of the courses will begin to learn Arabic and Turkish, in September of the same year will begin studying Chinese. Each of these languages will be taught at the university for the first time," he said.


It is planned that the school will bring together the best teachers and native speakers of foreign languages. Meetings with actors, writers and scholars from foreign countries will help in the study.


"Such a school will be the first in the South of Russia, it will give the opportunity to study foreign languages rarely taught in Russia. This will allow residents of the North Caucasus to improve the level of linguistic training. The possibility of conducting certification exams in the future on the basis of the school, confirming the level of language skills for foreign internships, training and work," Bespalov explained.


NCFU is the largest higher educational institution in the North Caucasus, which was established in 2012 on the basis of three major universities of Stavropol Territory. About 25,000 students study at the North Caucasus Federal University.
