22 December 2022

The number of Russian tourists transported from Egypt on December 22 will total about 6 thousand, while 900 people will remain in the Egyptian resorts. This was reported to TASS by the press service of Tez Tour.

" Including flights that will depart today, 3.4 thousand tourists were evacuated from Hurghada, 2.5 thousand - from Sharm el-Sheikh. From December 23, 400 tourists remain in Hurghada, 500 in Sharm el-Sheikh," the statement said.

December 15, iFly flights from Moscow to Egypt were canceled due to the restriction of the airspace of Jordan. Rosaviatsiya recommended the airline to redirect passengers to other carriers. At the same time, iFly itself tried to re-route and fly over Syria. The next day, iFly announced that it would cancel its flights in Egypt at least until December 19.

As Tez Tour earlier reported, the tour operator's clients will be able to fly to Moscow on Egypt Air, Red Wings and Corendon airlines. In total, it will take more than 15 flights to transport all the travelers. Most tourists are expected to return to Russia by the end of this week, the tour operator said.
