OIC and Russia sign agreement on cooperation in youth education

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Russia have concluded an agreement on cooperation in the field of youth education, the OIC intends to continue working on further rapprochement with Russia, OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha said this on Tuesday at a meeting with Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko.


"Yesterday I signed an agreement on cooperation in youth education. I think this is a big step forward. And we really believe that this step will help improve our relations," the secretary-general said.


He recalled that Russia and the OIC countries have historically had "very good relations." "We continue to develop them, including focusing on the fact that Russia is an observer country in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. We have no choice but to develop these relations. And we will continue to act in this direction so that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation gets closer and closer to Russia," summarized the OIC secretary-general.
