Mohammed bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami, Director General of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic States (OIC), sent a telegram to Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia - Islamic World", Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.
"We congratulate you on the success of the media forum "Russia - Islamic World: Media Cooperation for Sustainable Development and Economic Prosperity" held as part of the XIV International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2023," the message reads.
"We reaffirm our deep interest in strengthening joint cooperation between Russia and the member states (OIC) to implement the goals and initiatives of the GSV "Russia - Islamic World". We intend to provide our full support to start the practical implementation of the recommendations voiced at the forum. We are also ready to cooperate in organizing informational events as part of the celebrations of the relations between Russia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as the Russian-African Forum to be held on July 28," stressed Al-Yami, adding that the OIC highly appreciates the efforts of the GSV to strengthen cooperation between Russia and the Islamic world in various spheres.
Albir Hazrat Krganov, Head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, also noted the high level of the forum organization.
"The organizers of the forum really succeeded in creating a unique atmosphere of friendship and creativity, to bring together like-minded people, based on an understanding of the religious and social significance of Islam in economic development and relations with Islamic countries and their peoples, for the citizens of our country. All the guests, imams and muftis - members of the large delegation of the Spiritual Assembly of Russian Muslims - noted the highest level of organization and carrying out of multifaceted events of the forum, generosity and hospitality of the residents of the Republic of Tatarstan and its capital - Kazan", emphasized Krganov in his message to Mukhametshin, adding that the Assembly will further strengthen cooperation and interaction with public and religious institutes of Tatarstan.
