On August 23, the most spacious mosque in Europe will be opened in the Chechen city of Shali.
More than 30 thousand people will be able to pray inside the mosque named after Ramzan Kadyrov "Pride of Muslims". At the same time, about 100 thousand people will be able to pray here on the adjacent territory.
The official opening of the mosque is timed to the 68th anniversary of the birth of the first President of Chechnya, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov.
Construction of the mosque lasted 7 years. More than 200 guests from 43 countries are expected to attend the opening ceremony.
