OPEC+ Countries Reduce Oil Production by 20,000 bpd in August

In August, the OPEC+ countries slightly reduced their oil production by 20 thousand barrels per day (bpd), bringing it to 35.99 million bpd, according to the September report from the International Energy Agency (IEA).

 

Saudi Arabia decreased its production by 100 thousand bpd, reaching 8.98 million bpd, while Russia maintained its July production level at 9.48 million bpd. In contrast, Iraq increased production by 50 thousand bpd, totaling 4.32 million bpd.

 

The agreed-upon production target for OPEC+ countries in August was 39.57 million bpd, but the actual production fell short by 3.59 million bpd.
