Pakistan to repay a debt to Russia

03 December 2019

Pakistan will repay the debt to Russia in the amount of 93.5 million dollars. The relevant agreement was signed by Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergey Storchak and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Russia Qazi Khalilullah.

The debt, as noted, arose on export-import operations between Pakistan and the Soviet Union.

Russia repaid the last external debt of the USSR in August 2017. Moscow paid 125.2 million dollars to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
