Pakistan's new government sworn into

The process of forming Pakistan's new government is complete - it was sworn into on Tuesday at the presidential palace, Pakistan's new Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced.


"The new cabinet was formed after lengthy consultations with former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and our partners in the government coalition," Sharif wrote on his Twitter page. The prime minister also expressed hope that "federal ministers, state ministers and advisers can solve the problems" of the country.


According to Pakistan's Dawn newspaper, the new government includes a total of 37 people, including 31 federal ministers, three state ministers and three advisers.
