Pakistan's President Affirms Commitment to Counter Terrorism Challenges

On the occasion of Pakistan's Defense Day, President Arif Alvi of the Islamic Republic reaffirmed the commitment of Pakistan's armed forces to persist in the fight against the terrorism threat. This dedication is aimed at safeguarding the nation's security and upholding its territorial integrity.

 

"At this significant moment, we acknowledge our accomplishments in asymmetric warfare, highlighting the flexibility of our national armed forces in meeting modern combat challenges. On this day, Pakistan reiterates its commitment to peace and its enduring policy of peaceful coexistence," stated the head of state during the celebratory ceremony in Islamabad, as reported by Dawn newspaper.

 

Alvi emphasized the resolution of the territorial dispute with India over Kashmir as a top priority for Pakistan. "This dispute should be settled in line with the UN Security Council resolutions to secure peace, stability, and development in the region. Pakistan will persist in offering moral and diplomatic backing to the righteous aspirations of the Kashmiri people for the determination of their own fate," he stated.
