The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has appealed to countries worldwide to reevaluate their relations with Israel and exert pressure on the Jewish state to halt the escalation in the Gaza Strip.
"Due to the ongoing violent aggression, the ministry urges all nations to reevaluate their ties with the occupying state, referring to Israel, and to apply substantial pressure on it to cease the destructive war it is conducting in the Gaza Strip. This includes ending the attacks by its settler units on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, which encompasses East Jerusalem," states the announcement, which was posted on the ministry's Facebook page (banned in Russia, owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in Russia).
On Wednesday, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Hussein al-Safadi made the decision to withdraw the kingdom's ambassador from Israel. He also directed the Foreign Ministry to communicate to the Israeli Foreign Ministry that their ambassador, who had previously departed from the kingdom, should not return.
