The date for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' upcoming visit to Russia will be set in the near future, Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow Abdel Hafiz Nofal said during a press conference marking the International Al-Quds Day.
"We anticipate that the date for the upcoming visit will be set soon," Nofal stated.
Earlier, Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov informed reporters that the dates for Abbas' visit could be finalized in the near future. Last year, Bogdanov had mentioned that Abbas' visit to Russia, initially planned for November 15, was postponed at the request of the Palestinian side.
