Representatives of Palestinian factions have signed a declaration in Beijing, aiming to end division and strengthen unity, China Central Television reported.
The TV channel had previously informed that from July 21-23, the Chinese authorities provided a platform for Palestinian reconciliation consultations in Beijing. The talks between representatives of various Palestinian factions officially concluded on Tuesday morning.
During a UN Security Council meeting on the Middle East situation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov highlighted the importance of the Russian initiative to convene all external players with influence over the Palestinian factions. In March and April, these representatives held talks in Moscow and Beijing to address and overcome their existing rifts.
