The Palestinian cabinet on Thursday called on the international community to take urgent action to rein in Israel’s war machine, killing civilians in the Palestinian territories.
In a statement carried by the WAFA news agency, the government stressed that “the international community must act immediately to rein in Israel’s war machine, enforce a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the entire Gaza Strip, and ensure the unrestricted and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, as the Strip faces a humanitarian catastrophe that threatens the very foundations of life there."
The statement further noted that “the lack of firm international action has emboldened Israel to continue its massacres against the Palestinian people.” It called for “urgent global intervention to stop the Israeli occupation genocide, forced displacement, settlement expansion, and settler violence.”
