Palestinian Health Ministry Reports Over 26,700 Deaths Since Escalation Beginning

Since the escalation began on October 7, 2023, more than 26,700 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, with approximately 70,000 others injured, Al Jazeera reports citing the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

 

The conflict escalated in October 2023 following Israeli shelling in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of at least 26,422 people, including over 10,000 children. Additionally, at least 65,087 other residents of the enclave, including 8,663 children, have been wounded.

 

In the West Bank, at least 370 Palestinians were killed, including 99 children, and more than 4,250 were wounded.
