Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas extended his congratulations to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on victory in the presidential elections held from March 15 to 17. The corresponding statement from the head of the Palestinian National Authority was released by the WAFA news agency.
"In his statement, President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated Vladimir Putin on his re-election as President of the Russian Federation and wished him success in fulfilling his duties and achieving the goals and objectives confronting the Russian people," the statement read.
Abbas further underscored his pride in the friendly relations between Palestine and the Russian Federation, expressing profound gratitude to Moscow "for its support of the rights of the Palestinian people."
