The Kyrgyz Parliament will return to the issue of considering a new government, as well as its structure and program in the near future, Vice Speaker Aida Kasymaliyeva said on Tuesday.
"Today this issue will not be considered ( the government's re-approval - TASS). It will take place in the coming days," she said. Earlier Tuesday, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov announced his intention to return to parliament the decision to appoint Sadyr Zhaparov as prime minister.
Zhaparov's candidacy for the post of prime minister was put forward by "Mekenchil" party ("Patriot") amid mass protests against the results of parliamentary elections started in the country since October 5. The next day the parliament gathered for an extraordinary session and voted for Zhaparov's appointment as head of the Cabinet. However, the majority of politicians recognized this decision as illegal since there was no quorum at the session.
On October 10 the second extraordinary session of parliament took place where Zhaparov was approved again as the prime minister. But this time too, a part of people's deputies called this decision disputable because in their opinion the quorum was not formed again.
As the press service of the head of the Kyrgyz state reported on Tuesday, the president met with Zhaparov on October 13 and announced his intention to return to the parliament the deputies' resolution on appointment of the new premier. According to him, in order to preserve and strengthen stability in the country all decisions "should be legitimate and not be questioned".
