The issue of involving terrorists and mercenaries in Azerbaijan's aggression against the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) should become the subject of the international investigation, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page.

"The involvement of mercenaries and terrorists in the aggression against Artsakh (unrecognized NKR - TASS) is a threat not only to Artsakh and Armenia but also to international security, and this issue should become the subject of the international investigation," he noted.

According to the Armenian Prime Minister, 10 million Azerbaijan "with huge oil revenues after July 2020 admitted to itself that it is not able to solve its security problems on its own and turned to thousands of mercenaries for help", proof of which Armenia already has.

The situation in the region escalated on September 27, and active battles began on the disputed territory. The parties report the killed and wounded, including civilians. Ceasefire agreements were reached three times already, but almost immediately the parties to the conflict began to exchange accusations of their violation.
