Armenia's priority for the further implementation of the November 9 trilateral statement is the implementation of the article on the full exchange of prisoners, hostages and other detainees, as well as the bodies of the dead, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Friday.

"Our priority for the further implementation of the November 10 trilateral statement (signed on November 9, the ceasefire went into effect at 0:00 Moscow time on November 10 - TASS) is the implementation of the full exchange of prisoners, hostages and other detainees, as well as the bodies of the dead. It is also important for us to carry out extensive search and rescue operations in the combat zone," Pashinyan wrote on Facebook.

Another priority for the Prime Minister is unblocking the entire economic and transport infrastructure in the region. That means that Armenia will be able to carry cargos and have transport communications via Azerbaijan to Russia and Iran. Azerbaijan will be able to transport cargo and traffic through the territory of Armenia to Nakhichevan.

On September 27, 2020, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh became tense. Baku and Yerevan have disputed the ownership of the region since February 1988, when it announced its secession from the Azerbaijani SSR. Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint statement on the full cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh on November 9. The document stipulated the stopping of the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides at the occupied positions, the transfer of some areas under Baku's control and the deployment of Russian peacekeepers along the line of contact and the Lachin corridor. The statement also included a clause on the unblocking of transport communications.
