Armenia is ready to start the process of border demarcation and delimitation with Azerbaijan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Friday in Sochi at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev.

"I think we have gathered today not just to voice problems, but to discuss solutions to those problems that exist. I also said that Armenia is ready to start the process of border delimitation and demarcation. The issue of opening all transport and economic communications is also very important for us, and we are sincerely interested in the resolution of those issues," he said.

According to the Prime Minister, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is critical, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have invaded the sovereign territory of Armenia.

"I want to emphasize that the situation is not as stable as we would like it to be. After November 9 last year several dozens of people were killed from both sides, incidents happen in Nagorno-Karabakh as well. Since May 12 this year we have actually had a crisis situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Our assessment is that Azerbaijani troops have invaded the sovereign territory of Armenia," Pashinyan said.
