Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi during his visit to Cairo. They held discussions on cooperation in various areas, including the economy and security, along with addressing certain international matters.
"The discussions encompassed matters related to security and economic cooperation between Russia and Egypt. Special attention was devoted to their collaboration within the BRICS framework. The meeting also involved an exchange of perspectives on several international issues," as detailed by the press service of the Russian Security Council.
The day before, Patrushev conducted security consultations between Russia and Egypt in Cairo. These discussions encompassed a range of topics, including the situation in Ukraine and developments in the Middle East. The meetings also explored avenues for enhancing the relationship between Russia and Egypt, both within bilateral frameworks and in multilateral contexts.
