Permanent Representative of Palestine to the UN: “the deal of the century” will help Israel annex new territories

08 May 2019

The US plan for a Palestinian-Israeli settlement will not take into account two-state conflict resolution and will allow Israel to annex new territories. The Representative of Palestine at the UN Riyad Mansour declared about it in an interview for TASS.

“It seems that the main goal of the plan is not to solve the conflict, but to create a pretext for Israel’s annexation of new territories. Those who are really interested in peace, are based on the agreements already reached, and not throw them out”, the agency quotes the Diplomat.

Mansour also announced that he did not know the date of the publication of the document, since the US authorities did not hold any official consultations with the Palestinian authorities on this issue.

Earlier, Jared Corey Kushner, an adviser and son-in-law of the US President Donald Trump, has claimed that the US plan to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will be made public after Ramadan.
