There are no current plans to hold a conference on Ukraine in Saudi Arabia with Russian participation, according to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who spoke to RT. This statement follows a report by Bloomberg, which suggested that the EU was considering organizing a summit on Ukraine in Saudi Arabia with the involvement of the Russian Federation.
"There is no discussion [about it] at the moment," Peskov emphasized.
He mentioned that a conference on Ukraine is scheduled to take place in Switzerland in June. However, the crisis will be discussed there without Russia's involvement, which he described as absurd. He added that no other events are anticipated at this time. "There is nothing else tangible yet," the Kremlin spokesman noted.
Addressing reports about the potential for other similar events, Peskov remarked, "These are all hypothetical speculations. There is a lot of 'speculation' on this topic now, referring to some ephemeral sources. So far, it is hardly possible to take this seriously."
