Russia’s delegation at the upcoming talks with the United States in Istanbul will be led by the Foreign Ministry, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"It will be handled through the Foreign Ministry on our side. So I suggest waiting for updates from our colleagues at the MFA," he said during a briefing when asked about Russia’s participation.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mentioned that Moscow and Washington are preparing a new round of talks aimed at reducing tensions and improving bilateral ties. He noted that one meeting had already taken place in Istanbul and that preparations were underway for a second.
