Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has affirmed that Russia maintains ongoing communication with both Israel and Palestine and will make efforts to facilitate a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
"Of course, we have longstanding historical ties with the Palestinians, and we continue our contacts," the Kremlin spokesman told reporters. He specified that "we are engaged in communications at various levels, including high-level discussions." "However, we also maintain relations with the State of Israel, with which we share many commonalities, notably a substantial number of our compatriots living in that country," Peskov emphasized. "Hence, we are in communication with both sides of this conflict," he emphasized.
"We engage in our contacts and participate in all, regrettably, the limited formats aimed at finding a basis for a settlement, which, as recent experience has demonstrated, do not always operate efficiently," the Kremlin spokesman observed. "Nevertheless, we remain committed to exerting efforts and fulfilling our role in assisting the search for a resolution," the spokesman for the Russian leader assured.
